Angela Harrison originally opened her first photography studio in March of 2016 after spending thirteen years in the medical field, seven years administrative and six years clinical. In January of 2019, a full rebrand and relaunch took place. Harrison Photography was born and shortly after Jean Haynes joined as co-owner. Since the partnership, the business has grown and the mixture of styles has merged seamlessly.

My favorite photography style: Children Photography. There is something super amazing when capturing a child with a genuine smile. To capture the innocence in our children. The playfulness, happiness and joy. You can’t beat that. I do want to note, I love photography, rather it is nature or travel photography, macro or fine art. Photography has truly become my outlet.
My education background: I studied at LA Film School and Full Sail University. I also studied business management at JTCC. Prior to my career as a photographer I spent 13 years in the medical field.
When I don’t have a Camera: I enjoy spending time with my amazing husband, Page and our son, Robert. We are blessed to own a growing family farm in Jetersville, VA. Currently, we raise Alpaca for fiber, Goats. We are working on opening a studio on the farm by December 2020.

My favorite photography style: I love it all! I light up with a camera in my hand. I love capturing those special moments in a person’ life, the way the light glistens in a person’s eye, the genuine smile of a child, or the awe of a beautiful sunrise. All of these things are why I love photography of all kinds.
My education background: I studied fine art at VCU. Prior to my career as a photographer I was in human resources and office administration for over 20 years. For the last 8 years of my career I worked in human resources for Insuretech start-ups.
When I don’t have a Camera: I enjoy painting, making jewelry, travelling, going to see live music, listening to audio-books, and spending time with my husband, Ted.
