What is a head shot?
Well it used to be a boring plain background and your shoulders up. Thank goodness it has been redefined. The old saying that first impressions are lasting impressions, it is still true. Fortunately you have the opportunity to give a little peek of your personality while showing that you're still professional. If you are an individual that's a little on the quirky side, and generally your clients like that about you, you would want that to come out in your professional head shot. Not overly quirky but just enough to where your client would feel very comfortable when they sit down with you. Let's say that you have a true passion for the outdoors maybe you would express that with a particular wardrobe colors, more greens or nature filled colors. Possibly even have your background be outdoors. Let's say you're a huge Virginia Tech football fan why not throw on a Virginia Tech tie.
Now what if one of your clients just doesn't like that team, it's okay it is an icebreaker. The majority of the time clients are just happy to know they have something in common like sports. When a client finds that they can relate to the professional, they are more likely to trust that professional and give them their business.
